My words continue to flow…

The feedback is starting to pour in as my first batch of buyers finish up their books, and the number one comment I hear is “I couldn’t put your book down!” Most people are finishing my book in 1-2 days because it is a “page-turner”! I am beyond pleased that people are enjoying it so much. I don’t know why but I have this huge fear that my book is terrible! My next batch of softcovers should arrive next week but yet again I underestimate myself as every book has already been spoken for! Guess I will need to make another order, which should be in at the beginning of January. If you would like an autographed copy just let me know. I also ask that if you have read my book to please fill out a review on! I love hearing how people like it. I continue to be amazed by the interest in my story from people that don’t even know me. While out for a girls x-mas get-together over the weekend, I got on the topic of my story with a complete stranger at the bar. And after telling him all that I went through and have accomplished, he bought my book! I always carry a copy of it in my purse since I seem to always have people asking me about it wherever I go, so it was perfect! Now he may have woken up the next morning not remembering much of his night and wondering where on earth he got this random book from, but I was still happy none the less that he was so interested in it at the time. Something else I would like to share is that I wore high heels for my night out! This may not seem like a big deal to some people – but I LOVE high heels and anyone that knows me, knows that before GBS I wore high heels ALL the time. After GBS, and after I learned how to walk again, my ankles were so weak, that it was over a year before I could even stand in a pair of high heels. I do wear them to work now, but I’m sitting at a desk most of the day. I have been doing INSANITY which is helping a lot and I am finding that I am able to wear high heels for longer and longer periods of time. And Friday was my first night wearing them out! These weren’t just any high heels, these were 5 inch heels!! I did take a spill or two at the very end of the night but I’m sure the shots at the bar with my girls didn’t help.

Christmas is coming in a few weeks and I am very excited for my baby Casey. She doesn’t know exactly what is going on, since she’s too young to remember Christmas last year, but she is very intrigued by the Christmas tree and all the decorations. I know that Christmas is going to be amazing and I can’t wait to see her open all her presents. With her being one of two grandchildren to my parents and the only grandchild to James’ parents, I have a feeling she is going to be spoiled. As usual I am making sure we give Casey some amazing x-mas memories, and we are going to be sure to make many family traditions, including making ornaments, decorating a gingerbread house, doing an advent calendar, and of course lots of classic Christmas movies. The most significant thing I learned from GBS is just how important family is, and Christmas time is a great reminder.

When I started this website last week I wasn’t a hundred percent sure of how it would fit into my life. But I have quickly changed my mind. Having a place to have all my media/links related to my book only makes sense. I have added links to the Menu, including how to contact me, my YouTube video, links to purchase my book, and links my news interviews/stories. I hope whoever visits my website finds it useful. The idea of writing a blog was strange to me at first, but now I catch myself getting very excited to write for it! When I finished writing my book, I sort of felt a sense of withdrawal – it was a lot of work but I really enjoyed it and I was a little sad when the process was complete. This blog allows me to continue writing, as I have realized just how much I love to do it. And while I also wasn’t sure how public response would be, (I wondered who on earth would want to read about my life in a blog?!?) It is definitely boosting my confidence when I see over 350 hits to my page already and people sharing it on their fb pages for others to check out. One of the coolest features on my end is that I can see which countries my viewers reside, so when I see views from the US, France, Australia, Germany and the UK, I see just how far away I am actually reaching people. And I hope that you all continue to visit!! 🙂
